Great White Egret
At Lewes levels thanks nick got it and thats a sussex lifer for me
with John,Matt,Chris.at the layby on the A27
Then a short sea watch got use pom skua as 5 go past Splash point
Then a Ortolan Bunting came in at Dungeness so me & john
went for it as we arrived last time seen was 10am we arrived at 12am
but got a Whinchat in the brush so that got me to 225 on my year list
nice day out at 18 c hot out the wind.

Day 2   8am-10.30am what a change
Dick left not long after l arrived
so my count is East 1 Great Skua 1Arctic Skua
4 Manx Shearwater 9 common Scoter.
12 swallows in off
West 1 Greylag goose 1 Whimbrel
feeding off shore
sandwich terns 6 Common Scoter 1 Guillemot

me & John got a Lifer the Black-winged Stilt
the Bird was 40-60 feet away feeding all the time.

saw 7 and heard 9 singing best at adder spot

Weirwood res & Old lodge
started in the fog at the dam end
lots of blackcaps chiffchaffs & Willow warblers
as the fog cleared l could see sand martin house martin
swallows hawking over the water an  a common tern to.
Moved on to the old lodge with willow warbler
in the car park redstart around chiffchaff and cuckoo
calling but took four and a half hours to see one as it
was very moblie. woodlark linnet goldcrest wren
buzzard woodpeckers green & great spotted nuthatch.
